On Monday, Liesl and Logan went for a walk with Melissa, Bradon and Seth. Bradon was in quite a bad mood that morning. He kept saying, "it's nice to use *all* your words." At first, Melissa and Liesl were quite confused by what he was saying because the way he was saying it was certainly in a mean tone of voice. Eventually, we realized he was annoyed at Logan for not talking as clearly and fluently as Bradon evidently thought he should!! It was quite funny to the adults, but to be fair to Bradon, it must be hard to have a buddy whose main communication is "TRUCK" and "CAR" in short, enthusiastic declarative sentences!
Once our walk was over, we all headed over to the Todd Mall for the annual Bangtail Muster parade. We had a great time watching the floats go by. Logan was a bit overwhelmed by the number of people, but kept his eyes glued to the procession of trucks, kids, dogs, and people in funny costumes. One of the highlights for Logan was when the fire trucks, police cars and an ambulance drove by – and even blasted their sirens from time to time!! After the parade, Logan was extremely happy because he found a ping pong ball (that had been thrown off one of the floats). Oh for the days when so little could make one SO happy!!
