Dingoden Family Outback Yapper

Welcome to our Family blog. It will try to capture the various asundry activities of our mundane lives, but with an attempt at making it seem not quite so mundane.

Logan and pooping

Momma gave an excellent presentation today, while watching baby Seth, to
a couple of potential teachers of a possible American History for Kids
class. Liesl used to do classes for young children to teach them about
American History (while making it fun with games, arts, and crafts).
Evidently she did such a great job explaining what she used to do that
she scared them with her creativity and information overload!
Later that evening, after supper, Logan got a well-needed bath (after
having played in the dirt at the Araluen playground all afternoon). It
was quite interesting the next chain of events. Mom was relaying a
story about one of Logan's friends, Holly. At Kindermusik/Kindergym
earlier that day Holly told her Mom, Rachel, that she needed to go to
the bathroom by pointing to her pants. Rachel took Holly (who is about
1 1/2 months younger than Logan) to the bathroom and sat her on the
toilet. Amazingly enough she went potty! Luckily for Logan's sake boys
are supposed to be slower learners at learning to properly go to
potty. Well, Logan must've been listening to Momma telling Daddy this
story, because then Logan started saying "Poopoo" and "Potty", to which
we assumed he was just mimicking Mom from the story. Well, much to our
surprise, we were quite wrong. Suddenly chunks of it began appearing in
the tub bathwater! Mom quickly put Logan on the toilet with Daddy
grabbing the small potty seat that goes over the normal toilet seat (so
that Logan could fit nicely without falling in) and Logan proceeded to
continue going potty a bit more. Fun and surprises and follow-up
cleaning meant a gay-old time was had by all.
