China Country Box -- 2

Some other things they sent us included
*a child's drum
*candy (a BIG hit!!)
*envelopes that Chinese children are given
at the Chinese new year. Logan was disappointed
that there was no money in them (I said
it wasn't the Chinese New Year yet!)
*Chinese coins and bills
*an excavation kit of a Terra Cotta Warrior (COOL!) --
we'll do that next week
*chop sticks
*postcard and peasant painting card

All I could say is WOW!! What a wonderful
day. The kids were so excited and have talked
about it for the rest of the week. We keep going
back to the box and checking things out (and eating
another candy!)

As for the country box -- we'll do a couple things. We'll
be making our own book about China (including some
crafts, maps and other things we worked on a month or so
ago) and we'll collect our goodies into a box that I'll bring
out every now in their workbox to explore and "rediscover."

We are so grateful -- and whatan amazing learning
experience for the kids.
