Wednesdays--Field Trip Day...
Most Wednesdays we try to do some sort of field trip out
and about. Last week, for example, we went to the Desert
Park. One week we went out to Emily Gap to look for
bones. Another time we just went to a playground and had
a picnic. And a few weeks ago we went to see the high school
production of "Bye Bye Birdie" (though that was on a
Thursday). Three of the teachers involved in the production
are part of the Alexandria Quartet (where Mom plays the
oboe). They treated us as special guests placing "Reserved
for the Main Family" signs on chairs right in the front row!
The kids enjoyed the singing and dancing (Elora stayed
with our friend, Kristin.)
Today we went to the Reptile Centre again. We timed it so
the kids could hold the lizards. And once again we were lucky
that they were going to feed the crocodile when we were there.
They only feed him every 6 or 7 days (less frequently in the
winter), so we truly lucked out!
