Dingoden Family Outback Yapper

Welcome to our Family blog. It will try to capture the various asundry activities of our mundane lives, but with an attempt at making it seem not quite so mundane.

Thanksgiving Lapbook

Starting in the beginning of November, Logan worked on a Thanksgiving
lapbook. He learned about the Mayflower, Pilgrims and Indians. We
talked about the difficult voyage and hard work the Pilgrims had to do
once they arrived in America. We also talked about what made us
thankful -- and Logan brainstormed the things he was thankful for which
Mommy wrote down on the turkey drumsticks above:

*I'm thankful for all my jets & legos and all my things
*I'm thankful to get food
*I'm thankful we have a lot of lights
*I'm thankful for my friends
*I'm thankful for being very nice to Grams and Gramps and that they gave me toys
*I'm thankful for having a big house
*I'm thankful for having lots of games
*I'm thankful for being strong

Logan wrote out the headlines (Thanksgiving, Pilgrims, Indians) on the lapbook above,
colored and cut out a Pilgrim and Indian, kept track of the days counting down to
Thanksgiving, and decorated the book with stickers and printables.
