Dingoden Family Outback Yapper

Welcome to our Family blog. It will try to capture the various asundry activities of our mundane lives, but with an attempt at making it seem not quite so mundane.

Peace, Family, and Tranquility

Logan woke up on the right side of the crib this morning after having a
fun-filled day yesterday. He found all his birthday presents still
existed and he went at them like a moth to the flame. We also had a few
presents still unopened from the previous day and so Logan got to open
those, including a new little plastic tricycle (without pedals). It was
a day of enjoyment in talking with the rellies (that's Australian for
relatives) on the phone and just hanging out around the house. Well,
except Mom went out to a social function after making a delicious
7-layer mexican vegetarian dish. She chewed the fat with some friends
and talked with a few local Muslims in town, for whom the social
engagement was meant for. While this went on, Logan took a nap with
Dad in Logan's single bed in his room, rather than the crib, simply
because Logan didn't want the crib and because lazy Dad didn't feel like
forcing the issue this time. Some of the highlights of the day were
Logan and his counting whenever swinging on our backyard swing (counts
to 5 and says 'Go'), Logan getting better at swinging the bat and
hitting the ball off the tee, and Logan repeating his A, B, C's. Oh,
and he pooped in the potty for about the 4th or 5th time now.
