Dingoden Family Outback Yapper

Welcome to our Family blog. It will try to capture the various asundry activities of our mundane lives, but with an attempt at making it seem not quite so mundane.

It's going to be a... (Mom's announcement)

Girl!!

Yesterday we had an hour and a half long ultrasound scan (the new technician who took a long time – and then when the primary technician came in the baby wouldn’t cooperate for those last couple of pictures so we wasted time while we waited for her to turn). We got to see lots of movement – much of the time she had her hand right up near her face. Because of the length of the scan we have a new photo album full of pictures. We hope to put some up on the website soon. You’ll get to see a picture of those dainty little feet (among other things!)

Overall, it was a WONDERFUL birthday. I finished up one class and submitted grades online on Sunday evening. That felt awesome to have that done! Tony took the day off yesterday. In the morning, Tony and Logan made me waffles for breakfast. One of the things Tony and Logan got me for my birthday was a new bike seat. After fitting it to the bike (Tony’s!) we went off on a family bike ride. We got home, had lunch and Tony put Logan down for a nap. Logan stayed with the babysitter while Liesl and Tony went off for the scan. In the evening our friends, Melissa & Jesse, brought over their boys and watched Logan while the two of us went out for a lovely birthday dinner. When we got home we all had birthday cake – and the day was over!
Well,
Logan’s calling, but we wanted to share the news!
