Dingoden Family Outback Yapper

Welcome to our Family blog. It will try to capture the various asundry activities of our mundane lives, but with an attempt at making it seem not quite so mundane.

Daddy's perspective

Here are some points of note from Daddy's perspective after arriving
home from work.
Logan is combining words better and better. Logan says 'More water'
sometimes followed by 'please'. He says 'food all gone' or 'all done'
when finished with his meal. Tonight he initially was hesitant with
dinner, but then thoroughly enjoyed his ham and bean soup, along with
the cornbread as delivered by our good friend Melissa Lynch (we dinner
swap once a week with them to make it easier in that we then get a night
off of cooking) Logan knows his shapes better and puts them in to his
various puzzles reasonably well. He can push his trucks along easily.
He is sitting at the table better, longer, while waiting for Dad or Mom
to finish eating and drinking. Logan does our family 'silent' prayer
better, in which we hold hands, announce 'let's be thankful' and then
close our eyes and dip our heads until Mom or Dad squeezes hands to
indicate it's over. Taking a bath tonight, Logan did well at turning
on the cold water tap (he's not allowed yet to turn the hot water tap).
He liked to put the cold water on high pressure most of course.
Afterward he ran around the house naked, evading Mom and Dad trying to
put on his pajamas. At bedtime Logan read his animal and truck book.
He is getting better at identifying and saying a number of animal names
(to include some noises like moo and quack for the cow and duck). He'll
even pound his chest when he sees a gorilla. When asleep Logan tends to
want to hold his water cup with a death grip, and before he goes to
sleep he likes to keep looking around to see if Dad or Mom is still
there. If you leave the room, he'll quickly say 'bye bye'. But he is
becoming more and more afraid of the dark. He won't go down the hallway
if the light is not on at night.
